Starting this book i already had an intrest in jesse ownes so,i figuered to read more about him would give me a better understanding of his legacy. The book starts of telling you about his hard childhood. It talks about his near death experience an how him overcame his sickness which draws you into the book to want to learn more. the book then goes into details to talk about how he started in the olympics during the holocost. The book gives you insite on how life was like during those time and how jesse was looked at when in germany for the olympics. Jesse went on to win the olympics an began his legacy of the fastest man in the world. How do you think life was like for him being an African American Track star during those times?

I always liked Jesse Owens and I never knew some of these things you mentioned in your blog, But I believe that as an African American track star in those days were hard on him because at that time the Jim Crow Laws were going on and those laws basically kept us in slavery without it being called that. I know that Jesse Owens faced a lot of discrimination being a good African American track star. He probably was got booed, thing threw at him, called names, and threaten as many African Americans sports moguls did at that time.

Brian, as you have left me no other choice, this is going to be your graded response. This response is mostly just summary of what happened in the book. As you should know, I expect more in the way of analysis/reflection.
