Action!! Take Two...

As i realized that politics are real boring to research, i changed my question... i decided to focus on a main topic something very important which is are youth. I would like to know how can we increase the awareness of young adults that commit crimes? I think that this is critical because are youth is the future of this country. Youth today are exposed to many things that can get them into serious problems. With the law or with people in the streets depending on what they are involved in and who catches them doing these things. Every day our youth is confronted by drugs, money, sex, and violence from peers. One thing that has a high influence on kids is peer pressure. The people around you dnt decide what you do but have a high influence on it. Its up to the young person to have a good common sense to choose what is good and what is not. This desision can be made easier to the teen if they had a good up bringing were their parents tought them to do things right.

In order to answer my main question i must answer small questions such as what is the most committed crime. List your small questions.
What is the most committed crime?
percent of young adults that commit crimes compared to older people?
what can be done to give kids another alternative... so they wont "have to" commit crimes.

why do athletes choose legal actions that jeopardize their careers:research 1

Once I began to look for research, I went to a website that was provided by Mr. Malley. As I began reading the information, I realized that every sport and every team had a teammate that did something to mess up their career and just screws up everything for themselves. Anyway, I went to Infotrac and got plenty of hits for information (Winnipeg Free Press), I came across this one article that started off talking about Tony Dungy. It was saying that after the superbowl, Tony Dungy had a problem with a couple of his players that were convicted with drunk driving charges. The Superbowl? Come on now, these guys are insane. I mean, why go do something so stupid that it would spoil such a celebration.

It continues to say that the directors of the NFL says that " three strikes and you're out, three convitions and they are banned or suspended from the league for life. Harsh, I think so. But it seems though, that they are doing all that they can to keep players on track. I don't think that anyone has been suspended forever. Wait a minute, Ricky Williams Has been kicked out the league about four or five times for doing drugs and he's coming back this year. I don't know, I guess its not as big as many other things that other athletes do.

Research 3

The previous research I did helped me understand a few things that are key to my freshman year in college, but I still wanted more answers. I want answers that are more comprehensive for the generation we are living in now. Simple stuff like apparel, popularity, nice accessories, and etc, do these materials really have an impact of my freshman year? If it did would I qualified to what society expect? What do the society expect for upcoming freshmen? To find out the answers to my question I did some researching. I Google what to do as a freshman in college. Within seconds tons of articles were found. I selected a article titled "College Freshman Tips- The official Website. I didn't know whether to believe this site can give me a more direct answer that I want. The intro gave a brief idea of how incoming freshman may feel and tend to agree with the opion. I scrolled down the page and I saw previous answers from earlier research but these answers gave an explanation why such activities can benefit a freshman. After being in high school for four years, college freshman are sometimes uneasy and timid when entering their freshman year of college (College Freshman Tips). The answer that interest me most was popularity. I thought that the more people you know the more distracted you become. But now I must know as a student should I try to build a friendship with my professors or remain as just a student?

ebonic search

Looking at the computer wondering how am I going to pursue this project, and then I thought, y don't I look up the word on Google and see what Ebonics mean. I found a link to a Wikipedia article which explained "the term "Ebonics", a portmanteau of "ebony" and "phonics", was originally intended and sometimes used for the language of all people of African ancestry, or for that of Black North American and West African people, emphasizing the African roots of the former; since 1996 it has been largely used to refer to African American Vernacular English (distinctively nonstandard Black United States English), emphasizing the independence of the latter from (standard) English." In other words....Ebonics has diffused all over and has changed in many different language, so now Ebonics is a mixure of diifferany lanuguages in a way. and afther finguring that out. umm, Then I got lost. After that because i figured that i knew what my answer was, but then got confuse because we have to put up more blogs for class and I didn't think that I had enough info and my search cont.

RESEARCH WEEK 2

So i traveled far and long through the vast deep and wide valleys of my brain to find my answer and what did i find NOTHING. So i started my real research an i started with my father. So if your asking me why my father its because my father is a producer for black island record company. So i told him about my English project and he agreed to a profession interview. So the interview went as followed i called him on the phone(he lives in cali) an had my list of questions ready to ask him. Some of the questions that i asked him where my foundations questions that can be found in my introduction. Some new facts that i picked up from this interview was to write your own music."your only adding more butter to your bread in the long run if you learn how to write now" said my father.
If you start talking short cuts now by letting others write for you it'll only cause problems for you in the future. This way You can only get mad at yourself for unwanted lyrics. I completely understand where he's coming from with that one because many of artists who didn't start their career of writing for them selves have difficulties telling record companies which direction they want to take their career to. Which is right to me if you weren't strong enough to right your own music and voice your own opinion why would they "the record company" take a chance know? He also said to learn how to produce and mix your own tracks no one can make it 100 percent to your liking but YOU.Once you got the sound and lyrics your looking for its time to bring it to the public. "let someone critique your sound listen to their criticism and if need be tweak it. Now make demos don't start of selling them that's where alot of people go wrong. Free is the way to start "you want to get your music into every one's ear" so the more your music gets around the bigger fan base you can began to develop.
I think this interview was very helpful to me shout out to the pops on the help. With all this new information that i obtained i surly will be able to come to a greater conclusion of my question.

why do athletes choose legal actions that jeopardize their careers: before research

I became interested in this topic because I am a big sports fan, I love playing sports, and everyone has a favorite team and player. Sometimes these players would do something to jeopardize their careers. Fights in clubs, possession of drugs and weapons, rape charges, and even murder are things that some athletes get themselves into. Sometimes the athletes are the ones that are being mudered. Many athletes has lost everything because of their actions that they have made. I dont know, the players need a rush since that team their tam sucks and cant really win anything. Yeah, that might be it, i'll just throw a 7.5 million dollar contract a year away so I can watch my dog fight to its death. Wait, dogfighting is a better way to get money other than being one of the most paid quaterbacks in the league? I think not. I'll tell you what though, I'll get him a new dog and take his job, throwing footballs for millions of dollars.
So speaking of this, this brings my question into play that I was wondering about, what causes the modern athlete to get into legal trouble? What can they do to avoid these problems? Why would they throw it all away for a party or smoking illegal drugs?

research number 1

I was in class in Mckinley high School thinking of a what title I should use to find answers for my essential question. I thought of one and type in key success for freshman year in college. Immediately results were shown. I picked one website that was about a book that tells you ways to sustain freshman year. It didn't obtain any information that I was looking for. So I was in class at McKinley high school thinking about where should I begin. I went to google how to be successful as a freshman in college. I scrolled down the page and saw a article that give you 25 tips to have success as a freshman in college. The article by Randal S. Hansen provided vital answers that I was looking for. My ideas that I had were pretty close to his theory. The first few weeks on campus are extremely critical for all new students. It is during this time that you make critical decisions that will have effect on the rest of the life (Randal S. Hansen). Based on the article R. Hansen is recommending that all freshman should be sociable, independent, and smart with his or hers environment. I strongly agree with this. Now my question is what is the ratio of those who survive freshman year to those who don't?

Hansen, Randal. "25 Tips to Help You Survive and Thrive Your Freshman Year and Beyond." 17042008 .

my essential question.....

One day was on the bus coming to school,me and a friend where discussing about her english class and how they were doin greek and latin roots, and how many their are and how hard it is to remeber all, and then i had a epiphany. I thought to my self where did ebonic come from and who made it up, and tha history of its lingo. In the urban community ebonics is use very offen all over the u.s. i know ebonics is used everyday,i know cuz i use it on a almost everyday bases cause where i grew up from, i live in a urban community ive been living in a urban community for all my life so far.

Intro Of Inquiry

The concern of my freshman year in college didn't hit me until I received my acceptance letter . I wasn't sure if it was the excitement of receiving the letter or the simple fact of me going away for college. I began to watch a movie called Accepted. It is about how a group of friends create a college and began to experience the college life. During the movie my curiosity of my freshman year began to gain my full interest. Different thoughts, question and ideas became an everyday process.

The introduction 2 my research

So Mr mally want me to explain how we became interested in the subject that lead me to my question. Its kinda hard to say because ever since i can remember i loved music. From the hanging baby hypnotizer in my crib at the age 1 to this very moment music has always be with me. So yes its safe to say I'm a music fanatic i enjoy all aspects of it from production to promotion to the final product. I think i get this sense of love from my pops who is a musician/producer and also loves music. so with my question i tap into my other love an that making money(not the paper itself). Taking your music to the highest level and making it a good career. All the time i hear what would you love to do as a career and get paid for. My response to that question is "MUSIC"

coming up around music i think i know alot about the In's and OUT'S of hows its made an produced. I know how to make my own beats and an add in voice over an edit tracks an record. The basic to producing a album its not very hard, you just have to know what u want and work hard to get it to you liking. There are many great artists in this world and so horrible artists. What do you think makes artist good or bad? This leads to my question (foundation question) that will better help me to understand more about music.

So by now you know what my question is right?? Well if you don't my question is "What steps would yo take in producing a platinum selling album". This question includes the love of music an making money. what are the steps you would take to make this a top selling album. Does it have anything to do with the person's image? What about the type of music they make and what they talk about in their songs? Is the songs on the album ear catching to the public? If you choose to rap about positive things would that effect your album sells? These are all questions that will help me later come to a conclusion about my question.

Im 100 percent Pueto rican and over the years i have heard my family members argue over the same thing "should Puerto rico be a state of the US". Since i was born in Puerto rico i kno the customs and traditions that come with bein "Boricua". I see my self seperated from the customs of the US such as lil things as common food that we eat here, music that we listen to, and the main thing is the language that we speak. I ask my self and my family members wat will change if PR is called a state. What would really be different...?? I think that the only mojor change would be to have a moyor of PR instead of a governor, or will they try thing like have all puerto ricans learn english.
